Her heart started fluttering in her chest, but it wasn’t the good type like what girls described when their crush talked to them. It was like she was a dying bird, fighting its hardest to escape the clutches of a cat that had it. She wanted to go home, she knew this was a bad idea, this was always a bad idea. That was why she always stayed in Taviora or with her family, it was why she never left them, it was safe with them no one would hurt her or scare her with them around. She wanted to be bold and brave she wanted to try to be something she wasn’t and this was proving she never would be anything but what she was. A coward. A weakling.
”I’m sorry but my dad gets worried when I am gone for too long.” The honesty was there, and she knew her dad would be worried, would go looking for here. Maybe some small stroke of luck would happen and he would just appear by her sheer willpower. He needed to be here, she was scared. She needed one of them her father, or Vlad to come to her now. She could see the displeased look on his face and she took a nervous step back on one of her white paws.
Her ears were still pressed against head, and the striated male took a step forward. She couldn't take it anymore, her heart felt like it stopped and her mind clicked on. ”I’m sorry!” She said tears brimming in her eyes as she turn and started sprinting away as fast as she could, her tail tucked between her legs as she scrambled away as fast she could. Unfortunately her paws being so clumsy and the fact she was running away in terror didn’t stop her from tripping over a rock twisting her paw and causing her to yelp loudly before falling to the dirt. She hoped he would just leave her alone, just go away. He could tell she didn’t want to be here right? He was nice…. Right? She just wanted to go home.
