Merl and I have muttered about updating the religion/culture/deity section of the site for a while, and it's the section I want to turn my attention to next. Will be looking to revamp the whole section potentially as early as Easter, more likely in the summer/for the next version.

For reference, that's this page on religion & culture and this page on deity culture.

We've talked about making it more visual and restructuring the way the information is laid out. Is there anything you guys want us doing to that section of the site while we're in there anyway messing around?

Discussion pointers (not restricted to these):
  • Layout - I fancy ditching BJ's speech bubble and I'm not sure about the amount of info all on one page. Potentially thinking of using deity pendants as buttons to click on and find info about each deity's cult, personality, epithets etc etc. Chu think? When reading information, do you prefer multiple pages or a single page? Bullet points or paragraphs?
  • If we wanted to make it more visual, what could we add? We've got the maps currently and Merl has remade up the deity symbols. Would you want symbols for churches? Pictures of the actual deities? (Any artists wanna actually make those??)
  • Any redundant information you feel should be removed? Manekht's prophecy stuff maybe?
  • Anything you want to see expanded? Aside from Manekhtism there are no named polytheistic cults and the only monotheistic cults with any detail are Mallos, Aura and Rhaegar. Do you want more info about how the cults/churches work?
  • Anything you want added? We've referenced polytheistic cults on Earth expanding to include demigods and some polytheistic cults have deified Immortal Ones. Should deified demigods and Immortal Ones get a section of the site? Would you like a "religions" board (similar to the world building one) where you can log info about characters' individual religions they've pulled from other places, or create your own polytheistic cults to fit in with Shaman's lore? Would you want a mythology section? More info on Ancient Creatures and how they tie in with the deities?

    Input greatly appreciated. Plus if you're willing to make art/write myths/help out in any other way, let us know.
