Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Her world had become only three words: run, hide, deny. It had become that simple in her mind - see, she had been taken again. It seemed like she was always being taken. First, she had been taken by her mother who had in turn been taken from her and then, she had been taken by the wilds, then Asteraia and then so many others. Everybody wanted her but nobody truly wanted her. In Asteraia, she had been threatened by a strange child and then, she had been taken by the same child who had willingly taken her to the teeth of another. As far as she was concerned, it only made sense for her to hide and run as far and as fast as she could before she had to eventually accept her fate. In the meantime, she was just as content to deny that she had ever been taken. Perhaps if she tried hard enough, she could convince herself that it was willing.

And so she had taken to the crags once more, a place of security and safety for her despite the dangers that crept within it. During the day, she hid among the rocks and shadows and in the evening, she chased the voices in the night to keep her company. It was a small existence, one she thought would not be noticed by any other and yet, the sounds of claws against the stone often passed her. Today, in fact, they had passed her only to stop; Eto had crawled within the crevices of the crags, a thin thing with disheveled fur and wide eyes. She stared up at her company despite her silence, her nostrils flaring and heart pounding. White, white like her, but just as white as her mother and the wolf who had died in their den, just as white as her father. More trustworthy, though, then any other. At least, Eto thought, she was not painted in the hues of her kidnappers and the nasties that took her to danger.

Yet in her small world, she cannot help but quiver as the stranger speaks. She slid forward a stride, just enough so the faintest of the light would illuminate the blue of her eyes and the strawberry of her forehead; she stared in silence for a minute before she finally spoke, her voice a small and sweet thing. "Come in," she called back, her body scrambling forward on her belly until she poked her nose out just a little more, wide eyes having met the sternness of Eve's own, "don't you know it's a bad place out there?" For the briefest second, she teetered on the edge of a laugh but then her eyes darted left to right and she shoved herself back into the darkness. Eve might seek to drag her out but, similarily, perhaps Eto sought to drag her into her own world.
