Cougar sighting

Driving east on rt 17 in NY the evening of 4/30/17. My husband and I both believe we saw a cougar/ mountain lion standing just off the south side of the road. Very large, tan, not bushy fur. It was not a bocat or coyote. Anyone else see it?
