I agree that dogs should be leashed at all times in nature areas.
This will be my 24th year doing Forest Bird Monitoring at 2 sites in the Blueberry Plains at Wasaga Beach. It is designated as a Provincial Wildlife Area. I have seen dogs off the leash there so many times. This includes last Spring when I was at a site doing a count and a German Shepard came up fast and was barking at me from six feet away. I yelled and the owner called the dog back and left.
There are Deer in there too and I am sure some of these dogs must be running them. Many of the locals see the area as an off leash dog park.
I have never seen any enforcement there. Replies: There have been no replies.
