Does anyone know what's going on with this bumpy tree? Photos were taken at the north end of Little Lake in Barrie. Someone suggested healed over sapsucker holes but I've never seen a tree so successful at completely eliminating the row of holes. I'm pretty sure the tree was a maple of some sort but I didn't have time to take a close look. When I took a close look at one of my photos there was an insect there that I hadn't noticed. Is this a clue?
