Re(2): average UK consultant salary with private cases

I do not mind doing as much as every other weekend, or every day after 5pm just to pump up the total income in a short period of time. I think these days new NHS consultants need to work full-time in NHS and do private work on the side instead of part time in the NHS and the rest of the time in private, if I'm correct?
