If you are a beginning birder, or you just want to brush up on your skills, join us for our birding ID workshop. We’ll look at avian families, habitat, behaviour and “diagnostics” to identify the species we see in the field. We’ll also investigate the equipment you may be interested in, like birding ID books and apps, binoculars, etc. We’ll end with a walk through the Marsh in late afternoon, to see what’s around! About the Instructor: Dorothy Harper is an enthusiastic amateur birder. She has been birding for about 40 years, both at home, and on trips she has taken around the world. She has been involved with Wye Marsh for over 20 years, leading public walks, participating in Project Feederwatch and the Marsh Monitoring program, and generally volunteering for whatever else comes along. She looks forward to the next life sighting!
