This evening I heard a Least Bittern at Mayers Marsh, east of Vespra Valley Rd., north of Snow Valley, just northwest of Barrie. It was about a hundred metres east of the gate on the north side of the trail. I didn't get a look at this secretive bird, but was glad to hear it as it is the first I recall being at Mayers.
