Spent some time on the Carden Alvar today, found some toads, (Anaxyrus americanus, formerly Bufo americanus) mating in a puddle. Interesting size difference, in the second pair it's remarkable. In the third picture you can clearly see the egg string exuding from the female, and see quite a colour difference. Location was on Alvar Road, east of Wylie Road.
Anyone know how to post multiple pictures?
