Gutted

The sound was an absolute disaster. I was stood at the sound desk, which *should* have the best sound in the house.

It was awful. The volume was extremely low. Imagine listening with ear-plugs.

There was little to no output from Chris' Mic. Bill's guitar was completely buried. The second mic for Bill's harmonica was off. Tom's drums didn't sound amplified.

Was the worst sound I have experienced at a gig for a long time.

People at the back, behind the sound desk, were booing.

I spoke to the sound engineer and he said that the venue had a "power limit". If this is true then I have no idea why a rock band would play there. I have been to the venue before, and the sound was fine.

After more booing from the crowd I again asked the sound engineer if he could not hear the problems the crowd at the back were experiencing. He suggested moving to the front and standing in front of the speakers!

At the end of the first set, I left. I didn't want to hear my favourite band playing my favourite album with such an appalling sound system.

I've travelled all over the world to listen to BT. This was their first show for several years in the UK and I was waiting for it like a child at Christmas. Having to leave - or rather wanting to leave - has left me gutted.
