The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Outside of Glorall, Matianak was nothing to anyone, yet she still felt like they were all beneath her. If they were not Under or Eden, they were nothing to her. In turn, she trotted along as the princess she felt she was, a princess with teeth of course, tail curled high. For there was no one out here among the loners that were better than her in her mind. The grey coated female was today, weaving her way about the Grotto, following the light with the ins and outs of the cave system. Her tail bobbed as she moved along at a mildly brisk pace. Her pale eyes drifting here and there. Nothing of note, Matianak mused with a bit of a frown. Well that was no fun.

That was, until something did catch her attention. What was this? A smell. One of the yearlings drifting outside of the pack. The scent of Glorall was unmistakable, and the scent of someone younger than herself. Matianak weaved her way about through the fog near the openings. Again, that smile she had. Never genuine to anyone save her father, but the world didn't need to know that. Her pale gaze spied Adonai.

"Well aren't we a bit far from home," she said as she drew nearer. "You sure you should be out her all by yourself?" Matianak questioned, sounding almost concerned. After all, they did hail from the same pack, it would only make sense that she might have some concern for Adonai. Or perhaps she didn't and wanted to see where this may lead, if the encounter was to her advantage.
