Falls

The soft whisper of a breeze ruffles the golden leaves above the pale mares head as she treks the path from the Commons. It was a well worn path one that has seen the hooves of many, she sighs even the hooves of those she had loved and lost. Pink nostrils draw in the damp air with a deep breath. She knows the Falls, it was quite familiar to the pearly mare. Her heart clinches at the thought of the last time she was through here, it had been with Dixon. She ached deep in her soul for him, she knows she would never forget their time together.

The foliage touches her dainty legs as she pushes through the last bushes into the filtering sunlight. The Falls. She halts for a brief second, letting her crystal eyes take in the scene that unfolds before her. The strong musk of stallions fills the air, also the tell tale scent of breeding season. She can feel the urge, but she refrains from bringing attention to herself. Cae knew better than that.

A steely figure draws her attention, she can feel her blood run cold just at the sight of, Fallo. He had not taken notice of her as he finishes his drink, and trots away from the waters edge. She watches him with every stride that he takes, she hated him, everything that was him, except Zaida... The one thing that had been beautiful from that fateful day.

Cae can feel her stomach flipping, she knew that she had to confront him. Where was Zaida? She follows after him, all the things she wanted to yell at him, almost blurting from her pink lips. She trails him until he comes to a meadow. Her ears lace into her mess of pearly mane as she approaches him, her tail whips across her protruding hips and gaunt ribs. "Fallo." She spits his name from her lips. His name off of her tongue brings a sick taste in her mouth. "Where is Zaida?"
