The Rules
  • There will be no fraternizing with enemies. If you put yourself knowingly in danger, don't expect a rescue.
  • We are only as strong as our weakest link. See to it that you are getting stronger in some skill that is useful, whether it is battling, recruiting, charming, etc.
  • The King and Queen have final say in all matters.
This is no ordinary love

There was a part of Vita Nova that wished she could be happier, or at least be better at faking being happier, for Evren. Life was so dreary and dull here, but somehow, the painted filly always seemed to be in relatively good spirits. Despite the fact that Nova found it incessantly annoying sometimes, she didn't want Koray or this barren place to ever change that about Evren. She was lucky that she was this way, be it blatant naivety or just the innocence of her young age. Part of her thinks Nephilim robbed her of that. Maybe Koray a little, too. That said, Nova wished she could shield Evren from the factors that could slowly chip away at that. Her own sour moods certainly didn't help. The steely-colored mare let out a long sigh as she assessed this and rolled her eyes. She moved slowly to face Evren, as if she was trying to will herself to do better, to actually show that she cared about something, but also that this was still a monumental feat for her to overcome. Nevertheless, Nova watched Evren curiously from behind her icy blue stare, her grey ears pricked forward at attention as she waited for Evren to spill more details of this grand plan she was crafting.

Nova snorted, and even cracked a half-smirk across her lips as she watched the filly bound in place as she thanked her. She listened intently when Evren stepped forward, their bodies in such close proximity that Nova could feel the mare's gentle hot exhales against her chest. As Evren explained, Nova bobbed her head in agreement with her plan. She had hoped for something more elaborate, but this seemed like a worthy endeavor nonetheless. And if nothing else, it gave them both something to do. But Nova couldn't help but think about the consequences that could come from their actions. Would she feel responsible for the ill will Koray would most certainly inflict upon any newcomers that they brought back here? Why would they want any other horses to endure the same dreadful lives these two were stuck with? Would bringing more bodies really do anything to improve the overall mood here?

Nova snorted again, trying to get herself out of her own head. They should do this, she decides brashly. "Brilliant idea, Evren." Nova finally says, bumping her friend with her soft nose in reassurance. But Nova was reminded of the terrible time she had on the Crossing Isle just recently, when Koray found her mingling with a stallion from Tinuvel. It did not end well. "I think it might be best if I stay behind." She says, flicking her tail quickly over her haunches. "Remember how mad he was when he found me in the common the last time? If I'm here, I can distract him, and keep him from going after you." She explains adamantly. If Evren indeed wanted to do this, she wanted to make sure the filly was taking this seriously. "If Koray finds out that you're gone, you know how he can be." She reminds her.
