I'm a liability

This life was not exactly what the black femme had expected - but wasn’t that half the fun of it? Everyday, she marveled at the beauty around her. At the personalities she met, and the things she learned in the places she traveled. Silvi had had her share of challenges, though losing her father was probably the hardest thing in her young adult life. Limitless had been her rock. Her cheer squad. A source of wisdom, strength, laughter. Remembering him made the vixen feel safe. Grief was odd like that. Sadness could co-mingle with so many other emotions. Forever, she would be daddy’s little girl.

Nodding as the chestnut brute spoke of the crumbling Thicket, she wondered if she should have come to the Lost Islands. Of course you should have! It was where dad met Mariska. She reminded herself. Even if the Thicket was gone, the islands held a special magic. (Or so she had always believed.) She recalled the far off, starry eyed look her papa would get when he talked about it. About the mare who stole his heart.

”It is sad of course. But I still expect I’ll find much to love on these islands.”

Her auds flickered and a smile looped across her face as he puffed with pride. It was not a bad thing to be proud of one’s home. It was endearing. Silvanus had never experienced such a thing but she hoped that would soon change. Somewhere here, among this land, she planned to take root. Somewhere here, she could find true love.

”The land I grew up upon was called Acque Stellate, it means Starry Waters. I was not born here - though my papa, Limitless spent most of his life here. He was born here many years back and had a very full life. But something happened. He never told me what exactly but it took him away from this place, and those he cared for here. My mother could never quite measure up to the memories.”

Perhaps that sounded bad but it was the honest truth. Her long, black legs followed after the brute and she chuckled kindly at his compliment. Adventure had been her whole life up until recently. This seemed tame as far as her past escapades went. As they continued along Shamwari revealed a little more about himself. She considered his words, swishing her tail against her side.

”What made you decided this was home? I’ve never felt that about anywhere. Have you found love here?
