Meadow

Swamp muck clings to his sooty dark coat, in patches from his hips to his shoulders and down his legs. A few flies buzz around, not as many that inhabited the Lagoon, but enough for his tail to flick over his sides to chase away the pests. Jaxon stands idly, his tail flicks over his flanks and hindquarters with each swish. Oh isn't this nice? The voice taunts. Now you can just lead a sedentary life Jax. Jaxon flicks a single ear and rolls his dark eyes. You kno' thats not what I wan'. So I don't kno why you say stuff like tha'?" He drawls.

Just then movement catchs his gaze, a pair of horses traverse the Meadow. They carried themselves lightly, one carries herself with a nervous gait while the other walks submissively a stride behind. Curious. Jaxon takes notices of their strangely curved ears, her attentiveness... They were an odd pair. As the pair stops to graze, Jax just watches, his dark eyes taking in the pair of strange horses. The mare, she is outstanding. The voice whispers. "Is that all you think abou'?" He questions harshly.

A snort erupts from his flared nostrils, Jaxon outstretches one his scabbed muddy front legs and drops his teeth to an exposed scab. As his lips come around the protruding edge, he begins to peel it away. It reveals the tender skin beneath it as he pulls it back, a fresh trickle of crimson blood begins to flow down his leg, and pools in the grass at his hooves. Satisfied, he pulls his heavy head away, one by one he would peel away the scabs, they were such an annoyance. He stomps his hoof and chases a buzzing fly. They were also an annoyance.
