Wolpertinger lowered her head to the water, wrinkling her muzzle at coolness of it. The water on Salem and Atlantis was always tepid, yet this was a refreshing change. For the most part, she did not enjoy the crossing isle – it was always too crowed and too cold, but at this time of year, she couldn’t help but admire the beauty of it. Paradise might be more vibrant, but the mix of red, oranges and yellows was always something to behold.
Although she had been aware of a couple of horses nearby, she had been too livid with Keyik to may them much attention. She hadn’t even considered that one may have been watching or listening to them – how foolish. She was always on high alert in places like these and yet, the one time she doesn’t pay attention is the one time somebody is actually eavesdropping. Luckily for the two mares, it was not a scout.
Wolpertinger’s ears flicked back and her head up at the sound of a stranger’s snort. She turned to face him fully, her amber eyes locked onto him and her neck arched defensively. He was a vile looking creature, she resolved silently. While his conformation and sooty tan colouring could be pleasant, the smug, crooked grim plastered on his smarmy lips made her stomach churn. “What did you call me?” she spat indignantly at him.
When he asked about Keyik, she snorted loudly and practically growled at him. ”It’s none of your business.". She cursed the fact that he had advantage still being on land while she was hindered by the water. She took a step backward regardless. ”Don’t come any closer” she warned and stamped her hoof in the water, spraying them both.
