Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

RUAIRIDH

As Ruairidh trotted toward the source of the call, he couldn’t help but hear the same horse tell someone to shut the hell up. Now, that seemed a bit silly to Ruairidh considering it was their call that had almost given himself and the two rooks a collective heart attack. Oddly, the pony stallion could not detect hide nor hair of another horses so did they mean he was talking to the birds, who had been loudly protesting; or Ruairidh, who admittedly probably wasn’t making that much effort to be quiet.

It seemed the sooty stallion was confused too, stumbling over Ruairidh’s turn of phrase . “Aye, Ah ken, ah wis jist teasin’ yeh beuy. he chuckled in response to the stallion answering that there was no fire. Or, at least he hoped there wasn’t. He certainly couldn’t smell one. “Yeh cert’inly ‘av a right pair a pipes on yeh, Jax. Thought me lugs wir aboot tae drap aff me heed” he joked dramatically before letting Jaxon continue to speak.

The sooty stallion asked if he was the leader, Ruairidh of all horses, and the pony laughed heartily in response. “ “Ocht! Fook me, no.” he exclaimed “Ah’v only bin ‘ere a blink long-er an you. Far as ah kin tell, thir ain’t nae lead’r yit but summa yin oth’r lads are clamourin’ fur hid a'tween ‘emselves.” He flicked his tail and practically shrugged his shoulders; herd politics had always bored the life out of him. He remembered then that Jaxon had asked about the place. “’Is place is called the lagoon. Hids a place fir bachelors ta call hame. Dinnae ‘hink ail turn inny win away so yer in luck if thas whit yer lookin’ fir.”

It suddenly occurred to him that he hadn’t introduced himself yet either, “Ocht, whar are me mann’rs? Am Ruairidh bit maest call me Roo, or ya wee bastard." he said with a humorous grin, and another shrug “Call me whitever yeh like rilly, am no fussed.”
