I'm a liability dances

The force of her excitement would have sent her flying through the clouds, looping in and out of trees and all around had she been a bird. And at times, she certainly felt like a bird. Perhaps that was why her heart so longed to travel the world, to set foot on every sandy shore she could and meet the equines of different worlds. It was something that called to her, quietly sometimes, like a gentle whisper from a lover. Louder other times, like a vicious dog yapping at it’s prey. On that particular night however, all was inaudible. Rather, the raven femme had been tied to this place - not only by her dear papa’s history now but a piece of her own. A father of a child growing in her slightly swollen barrel. In no way, shape or form did it mean she loved the father. After all, they’d had only a brief, lustful encounter. Still, he had seemed a good man and if she was to bring life into the world it would do no harm to get to know the brute.

These were the thoughts that drilled themselves through her skull as she hurriedly swam from the crossing into more frigid waters. Long limbs churned the water beneath her, a shiver racing through her insides. Although she had been told that each island had its own climate, she had not fully experienced it until that moment. Tinuvel loomed ahead and everything was cold and depressing looking. I wonder what appeals to those who live here? she wondered idly. Granted, she had no room to judge. Silvanus had lived in too many places to count. At least those in the bay had a real home.

Above her the air was still light and crisp. Daytime far from being over and painting the skies new colors. Sucking in a lungful she finally hauled herself onto the shore of the place she thought she remembered Dances mentioning. The young mare shook the remaining water from her coat, blue eyes searching inquisitively. It is pretty.

Will he be pleased?
Scenarios began to play in her head. Although she hadn’t explicitly ever hoped for a foal she found the idea of being a mother thrilling. To have her own child to love deeply and fully? To share the bond she had shared with her papa? Silvi grinned a wide smile as she imagined to beginnings of this new life. A life in which she was no longer alone. It was only then that she realized that maybe she had been lonely. Aching and longing for someone to stand beside her and tell her that they loved her. She’d always wanted what her papa had once had with a femme here, someone named Mariska. His true love. But she also knew he had loved 200 percent with all of his foals. Silvanus would be no different.

Getting herself together, the vixen whickered, hoping she would be in the right place. ”Dances? Are you here somewhere?”
