take me where I've never been

I want to go there. This time I'm not scared.
Now I am unbreakable, it's unmistakable.

Indira is less afraid than she is just shocked. She didn't expect to run into Jaxon here. She thought she was done with him and his disrespect when Koray drove him out of the Desert, but apparently he wasn't done stirring up trouble.

"What a pleasant surprise.", Indira spits through her teeth. Her words are heavy with sarcasm. Though Indira is no longer an adolescent, sarcasm is something she never quite grew out of.

A wary eye remains fixed on Jaxon even as they are joined by another. After the stunt he pulled earlier, she has an understandably difficult time trusting him not to try something else. But as she looks past his identity, she sees the sand clinging to his sweat-soaked coat. She hears the dry cracking in his voice, and notes the tired frustration in his eyes. A little smile tugs at her lips. Jaxon couldn't try anything even if he wanted to. The stallion is parched. He might silently curse the Dunes, but its defenses are stronger than any other territory in the island chain.

"Mhm, stumbled across this place did you, or did you come to raid it?" Indira asks.

The initial shock of finding Jaxon's face instead of Gabbar's through the heat distortion has gone, and with it Indira's frightened, awkward stance. The young mare stands square and steady on loose sands. Her sides may be damp with sweat but she now draws even, confident breaths.
