Running wild with you right next to me

young & wild & no apologizes
Jola's ears were the first to point towards the approaching pair. They were still quite aways off, but the pink mare was certain of the bay doppelgängers' intent. The leader had turned too suddenly and directly to be going anywhere else. There were no horses mingling between them, and Jola was certain the tree behind her was impossible to pass through. She turned her head to nudge at Jusket. "We have company," she warned him. The blue stallion murmured something, then moved to press closer against her. "What?" she asked. As much as she liked to think they were close enough to predict what each other would say or do, they still needed help sometimes.

"I said," Jusket's voice was slightly muffled as he pressed his muzzle into her neck, "are you sure? I'd prefer not to deal with anyone right now." Jola snorted and shook out her mane to dislodge him. She loved his affection, but not in front of strangers. Especially not ones that were now close enough to touch.

She stretched out her neck to share scents with the pair. Jusket peeled himself away from her to do the same, though he wasn't too pleased about it. "Of course," Jola smiled at the stallion. If she noticed how similar the pair behaved, she showed no sign of it. "We used to live in the mountains. If the thin air and clinging snows taught us anything,"

"warmth is to be shared." The blue stallion uttered the proverb for her with a grin. His unwillingness to converse with the strangers had switched to geniality as soon as his pink companion brought up their home. She knew him too well; home was the one topic he couldn't discuss sourly. His attention turned to the female of the pair as she spoke. "Ah," his eyes twinkled, "we thank you. I must admit, I envy how much you two look like two halves of a whole." His eyes kept shifting from Kikka to Trell, attempting to spot any differences between them. So far, he found none.

Jola tossed her head back to laugh merrily at Jusket's observation and the mare's question. "Unfortunately, no, we are not twins. Though we try hard to change it. I'm Jola, and he's Jusket." She grinned at the bay pair. "You two must be so close. What's it like, being twins? Can you stand being apart from each other?" More questions danced at the tip of her tongue, but she held them back. She didn't want to overwhelm the first pair of twins she met. Jusket noticed how difficult it was for her to restrain herself, and shifted to touch his hip to hers.
