CHARITABLE ADVERTISING on Web Site There are many worthwhile charitable causes in existence, but we can only accept sponsorship or fundraising efforts on Fusilier Association websites, that specifically support approved Fusilier charities. This essentially means that it is acceptable to use these pages to seek sponsorship for The Fusiliers Aid Society (which includes Fallen Fusiliers), and The Fusilier Memorial fund only. We now have our own dedicated justgiving site (http://www.justgiving.com/fusiliersaidsociety), which you can use to help raise money for your cause. If you let RHQ (Asst Regt Sec) know the specific cause you are raising money for, it will be directed to the correct fund. Messages soliciting sponsorship for causes or charities other than the Fusilier ones mentioned above should not be placed on the message board and may be removed by the Webmaster.
Messages posted in the last 24 hrs. are in White.

QUEEN'S JUBILEE PARADE 1977.

Many of you will know of the remarkable sequence of events which followed the wonderful parade in Germany, and in particular the pic taken by Max Falkner. ( The ex RSM)

The pic is of 3 ex LFs, each one is a CSM and each one has the British Empire Medal.

The CSM's are Joe Eastwood, Les Ingham and Cliff Owen.

Mrs Faulkner, some months after the death of her husband, found unprocessed film in a camera and took it in for processing.

The result was a beautiful coloured pic of these 3 amigo's, proudly standing in front of the Colours of the 2nd and 3rd Bns of RRF ( Anyone else ever seen these Colours on parade together?)

Unfortunately the negative was lost at the time.

Les Ingham and another unknown person( probably from 3RRF?) asked if I could have a copy made for them, which of course I was glad to do.

Because of the large size etc, this required a studio to do it properly and I now have 2 wonderful full size copies.

They are now available for £35 a copy including postage, which is what I have paid for them.

There will be no more copies so you are getting something quite rare and now that the two Bns have been disbanded something which cannot ever be repeated.

First come first served if you would like one, let me know.

Good luck.

Joe.
