For the last couple of years I have had the house wrens nesting in my ceramic house. Two batches each yr. The house is at eye level in my Lilac tree. My flower garden has a lot less insects thats for sure. I used to put the house up on my deck for decoration but the birds sure like it on the tree. A plain old wooden house is not for them.
