how do you know when to let go[zevulun]

Auraleigh
Where do you go with your broken heart in tow And what do you do with the left over you
female, mature, palomino splash snowcap, 16.0, NEPHILIM x AUBREY

Water gruggles to the left of Auraleigh as her warm breath turned into icy crystals the moment it left her nose. Her long whiskers tickles her pale and gold foreleg breifly aiding the young mare in feeling some relief from her achy muscles. Traveling anywhere in the islands is and always has been a almost promise in death at this time of year, she could still hear her mother's warning as the thought came and went. Dangerous or not Auraleigh never let it stop her travels - not back then as a young foolish girl and most certainly not now.

The young mare hears scrapping from her foot across the snow covered ground as she drug her right let back beneath her to help steady the rest of her. Light blues watch the hot spring with just as blissful intent now as she did being a young girl. Maybe it was how the small pool of water stayed so warm despite the massive drop in temperature with the changing of seasons - or maybe it was just how effortless the steam rose into the air swirling and spinning about before eventually disappearing into the bay.

Zevulun's scent lingered in the damp air causing Auraleigh to breath out in some relief. She isn't sure if her twin brother stayed here with someone after their mother left or if he decided to go on his own adventure and just so happened to end up back here - either way Auraleigh is child-like giddiness about it. She hasn't seen her brother in years nor has she spoken to any of her family including their father. Aubrey took Auraleigh with her on their journey which ended up being to small island just south from here and that's where they stayed. The days turned into nights and the nights quickly went by one after another after another. Soon Auraleigh lost faith that her mother would ever bring her back home.

Auraleigh wrinkles her nose as the memory before flicking her ears backwards listening to the silence that surrounds her. When she first arrived Auraleigh took a while to get to know the land a little better and jolt her foggy memory. The only scent she remembered as she ended her little jog was her brothers - was he the only one left? If so where did their father go, or the rest of the herd?. Questions streamed through her mind as she waited for her brother to either return her call or come to find her that she had left him right before stopping at the spring.
