Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

They're Catching Onto Us

They said we'd burn so bright.
We burn this city and go.

The personalities among the three other stallions could not be more starkly different from one another. Paradiso was happy to quietly observe them a few feet away from the gathering, but close enough to be in speaking distance. The young spotted stallion couldn't help but crack a smirk at how Ernesto poked fun at the slender Akhal-Teke. A short, amused snort even cackled through his nostrils at the quip. Paradiso nodded quietly to the lively Ernesto when he introduced himself. Thus far, Paradiso was most comfortable in that particular stallion's company. He seemed the most fun, the most level headed, and perhaps most importantly, the most laid back.

Karash Han, on the other hand, was intense and somewhat aggressive. Paradiso was quick to identify him as a bully. He shrunk even further into himself when he felt the stallion's hardened gaze upon him, scrutinizing him. When he speaks, Paradiso's icy blue gaze returns to his face, however. It was an interesting assessment, and one that pique's Paradiso's curiosity. During his brother's reign here, it seemed that the Lagoon wrecked havoc on the band stallions, no matter which island they lived on. Kasabian held no alliances. He and Psychedelic were relentless, at least from what he'd heard from Gabbar, Vale and Shamwari, when he targeted one of them. Clearly he had a plan for their mother, Evaline, when they brought her back here. But maybe Karash Han and Argento were right -- the Lagoon was not in proper form anymore. Perhaps that streak of aggression died with Kasabian. Maybe Gent was being honest after all.

Paradiso flicked his tail over his hocks as he weighed this, his gaze falling onto the other, more heavier set, spotted stallion as he waited for him to address the group. He had lived here the longest, after all. Paradiso offered the stallion only the slightest of smiles when he addressed him first, bobbing his head somewhat wildly, in an attempt to rid a few pesky strands from his view. Gent's surprise to see him wasn't unexpected. But Paradiso couldn't come up with the right words to explain further why he was still here.

So the young stallion was relieved when Gent continued the conversation forward. He was impressed by the way Gent was able to handle the hot-heated Karash Han. His dark ears flick forward with interest, and the young stallion swipes his tail eagerly across his haunches. "What would make this place great again, in your honest opinion, Karash Han?" He spoke aloud, nearly surprising himself with the ferocity behind his voice. "Is torturing others really something that should define a place 'as great?' What a waste of time."
