The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Everyone had vanished from his life at an early age. After Bellatrix disappeared without a trace he just figured that there was no one left. He had kept to himself for all these years and never tried to seek out any from his blood and so it comes as a shocking revelation when his pale brother enters the domain. Their eyes lock for a moment as a narrowed glance is sent his way and despite the surprise that riles within him he keeps his emotions to himself. He had no connection to his older half-brother besides very distant memories and seldom memories of when their mother was still alive. Even now they are faded and broken in his mind.

His eyes linger on him for a moment longer, even after Segin turns his attention to the female, before he looks to the small child lingering on the side. His size difference is terribly notable and yet that is not what makes Dirge disbelieve in his ability to take a job from the female; it is the age that accompanies his measure. These days it seems that young wolves like to start out early in being independent but there are some things that cannot be taken on by a juvenile and Dirge is a firm believer in that fact. Some get lucky, others get done away with before their time.

His golden eyes travel back to the speaker as she speaks up after Segin, the word ‘goldie’ drawing his attention although it was not in reference to him in any way. She continues to lay out her plan through words, telling of how she aims to be alpha of a territory someday soon but that it cannot be done without assistance. Of course not, an alpha is no good without a band of loyal followers or in this case bribed henchmen. His face remains stoic in the wake of all of this news even though his mind is churning as he wonders which pack it may be and what all the little details are that she requires. He has kept a nice spot within Diveen, his presence kept rather secret in the furthest corner of the ravine just as his father had claimed. He is not cursed with the damages of pure demon and angel genes combined but he prefers to keep to himself in the dark grove. If Grimoire threatens this then he may not agree to any of her terms, but that is something to be determined in a more personal manner.

He nods after she finishes speaking and keeps his eyes trained upon her in the event that she decides to break away for these private conversations. He never discusses his work publicly and wouldn’t expect anyone else here to either.
