Jola grinned proudly at the title, flicking her tail at Jusket so he'd stand a little straighter and look a little more excited. She couldn't blame him for being hesitant. They had never done anything like this before, and that was the reason why Jola was so eager to decide for him. She wanted adventures, not just exploring different lands, but staying with herds and learning about cultures and making real connections with other horses she liked. Not horses like the ones on their mountain, where all they cared about was popping out babies and staying nice and fat. But horses like Mariael. Horses who were making their way through life.

The blue stallion glanced at Jola and sighed as quietly as possible. He wanted to find a place to settle and call their own, away from everyone else. Somewhere private and cozy where they could go into hiding until everything blew over. Somewhere no one would know their names or even that they existed. If someone else from their mountains or the neighboring areas came here, he didn't want want them to know where he and Jola were. He didn't want to see any of them for a long, long time. His ears flicked as the pale mare spoke again. "We'd love it if you showed us around. We've never explored a land like this before, and I'm afraid we don't know of any dangers of the environment." The words were out of his mouth before he had properly considered them, but his pink companion beamed at him.

"Please do come with us. Maybe we'll find something new even to you," Jola smiled, her eyes laughing. She'd bet Mariael had explored every inch of her land. Any good queen would. She moved slightly to brush her body against Jusket's, hoping her excitement would leak out and infect him. She was sure by the end of the winter he would be grateful they stayed, but if she could get him to realize it sooner he would be a lot happier.
