♡I was made for loving you♡

even though we may be hopeless hearts
just passing through

Sunset.

Jaci ducks her head from the still blinding light of the sun as it dips closer and closer to the infinite line known as the horizon. Blue eyes hide from the light under long, feminine lashes, gracefully fluttering over baby blues. The soft pinks, vibrant oranges, loud yellows, and lazy purples dirt over the sky and the mixed hues of light reflect upon the pale white pelt of Jaci. It enchants her in beautiful colors and Jaci is able to mirror the beauty of the world, even if it is only for a small moment.

It finally dips below the horizon and Jaci pushes herself off the snow and into a full gallop, dodging between trees and large clumps of snow. She wants to get down to the ocean to seethe move rise and the stars come out. Having grown up in a mountainous home, she had been an arm’s length away from the stars and the moon she was named for her whole life, but there was something surreal about the way the stars would kiss the oceans, sky meeting sea, it was the closest Jaci would ever get to staring into forever, an infinity.

Small, dainty hooves slow into a bouncy trot, excitement evident in the way she picks up her feet, the, the way her tail flies, and the reckless smile that stretches its way across pink lips. She pauses for only a moment as a family of cardinals ushers themselves into their little niche in a tree, hurriedly tucking in for the night. Ears perk forward attempting to catch their twittering ways of saying ‘I love you,’ to one another, but it seems as if the red birds are all tuckered out for the evening. Jaci looks over the tall tree the birds had gone into, attempting to remember its location so that she could spy on the bird family again, and see if maybe, come spring, there would be little chicks for Jaci to watch grow.

With a light snort, she moves off to the beach again, but not until small, fluffs of white fur for ears press forward again, standing tall, erect, as she catches sound of a whinny. It did not sound like the deep, rumbling call or Orkaan, this one sound perhaps just as strong as his was, but feminine, another mare who lived here in the Inlet. Smile widens, crinkling her cheeks further as her pale form makes a slight turn, drifting to the source of the whinny.

When she arrives at the source, the girl named for the moon and who is as pale as moonlight, sees it is not just one stranger, but two. She laughs, tinkling and light, as she gracefully moves forwards, her steps dainty and airy. “Hello,” she says brightly, baby blues sparkling at the prospect of new friends. “I’m Jaci,” she introduces herself, letting long ashes gracefully close her eyes of blue for a moment before drifting open once more. “And who are you?”
