my mind's like a deadly disease

After everything you’ve done, I can thank you for how strong I’ve become

The sun fell from the sky, descending so that the moon might live, the snow dusted lands of the inlet bathing in gold. Truly, it is a king’s home. Although the two-toned stallion was not royalty by birth, nor was he the only ruler of Tinuvel, he was in every other respect a King. Together, although separately, he and Mariael ruled the icy lands. It could be compared to the pairings of olden days, king and queens betrothed and yet living in their own countries. It was politically smart, and gave the stag plenty of excuse to visit the Queen. Perhaps it was an endeavour he could soon make time for, although he had his hands full with his own home between Phi, Dora, Jaci, Evren and soon the arrival of whom he had won in battle. Jaci, innocent as she was and beautiful beyond compare, made his life simpler, reminding him that he could enjoy the pleasures of a normal life beyond this throne. Beyond the battles and his own personal vow to protect those unable to protect themselves. Plainly put, the snow angel made him happy.

Of course, her request is one he cannot deny - knowing how he has longed to share the beauty of the night in the inlet with someone, anyone that he could call his own. And that she was, Jaci of all those in his home had seemed most happy to accompany him. Thus, a wide smile stretches his jaw and he bobs his crown, black tresses falling across his bright amber eyes.

”Of course, how could anyone pass up such an offer? I would love to star gaze with you.”

Winter is a harsh thing, but it is true that there is nothing like a winter night beneath a fully rounded moon. The sight has often taken his breath away and had always compelled his grandmother to soften and share bits of her previous life with him. As Orkaan watches the femme, a slight pain radiates across his cranium and for that moment he is grateful that she had glanced away, taking that brief minute to recompose himself from the grimace that struck his facade. It had been years since he had felt the throbbing near his auds and a slight worry formed in the back of his mind. Alas, how can anxiety rule the brute when he is so near such a lovely creature as Jaci?

”You were aptly named - the moon is the ruler of the night. Kind and fair as she spreads light to all the world around her. Not like the sun, so bold and demanding. Have you always had a love for the night sky?”

Turning his face to the coming stars, Orkaan took in a deep breath. What was thes story Owdeht had told him? How the Queen Moon had used her stars to bring the sun back to life? It seemed one Jaci would enjoy, if only he could recall it all. ”Would you share your favorite story with me?”
