Ernesto’s smirk grew into a wide grin at Selenium’s wink, pleased to see that she was playing along. Her words were playful now, and he wondered if she were beginning to warm to him. It certainly seemed that way at the moment, and it stroked his ego to think of it.

He arched his neck a little more proudly, his tail lifting slightly as he watched her.

“I’m sure you could,” he replied simply, his dark eyes mischievous.

To her comments about Tinuvel, he gave an interested nod. He had no doubt that Selenium was a strong woman, regardless of the climate she had grown up in. With a playful smile, however, he couldn’t resist continuing to lighten the mood.

“I tend to agree,” he said, tilting his head at her. “Though not always regarding the terrain.”

Her next question was for him, however.

“Desde el continente – the mainland, I think you call it here. Here and there, I travelled around mostly with my brothers. It wasn’t so cold there like your home though,” he added with a chuckle. “I like the sun.”
