aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

How many days has it been since he had seen her? How long had it been since he had left the two females at the base of the mountain, and returned to his home? Ever since then, he had been unable to free her from his mind. He had thoughts of her constantly, and realize that he had no idea where she was staying. How was he ever to try to convince her that they were meant to be together if he could not find her? He had thought about tracking her, about finding her trail of perfume and following it to her origin, but as it was the mountain chain, or rather the area on the mountain chain where he had met her was far away from his pack… Who knows how long it would take to track her down? He was an Alpha, and had his duty and his responsibility to his pack. As much as he wished and wanted to abandon that responsibility and flee, looking for the female who would fill his soul and fulfill his destiny, he knew he could not. That very idea had sent him nearly into another depression, for how many times now had he loved only to have his glove not returned? Of course there was no guarantee that he would fall in love with her, or that she would fall in love with him, but if they did fall in love with one another, their love would be epic. At long last, he would not be the lonely brute pining for female who did not know if his existence… But it seemed that he was fated to forever be that male. That lonely, despicable -

-and yet fate seem to have something else in mind for the snowy king. Just as soon as he was about to go in another circle of conversation with himself, he heard a call, and the vocals were like music to his ears. His twin towers perfect and rotated slightly, honing in on the call. It was her, it had to be her. A whole slew of questions filled his mind-why was she here? Has she come looking for him? Does she even know this was his pack? Would she think him a fool for his Idiocracy and stuttered mumblings? He was perhaps a negative pool, or are you seeing everything in the worst case of scenarios, but he saw the best in others, and that was what really mattered. Or at least he used to, until his change. Now he could see the true soul of the others he was around, whether they be good or bad, and whether they told truth or fallacy. So far, it had been a wonderful gift, but Aindreas knew only too well that at some point, it might prove to be a curse. If he found out that those close to him ever begin to lie to him? It would crush him. But which would he prefer - ignorant happiness, or honest discontent? Only time will tell the answer to that. But for now, in the present, he focused on only one thing, which was to get to his soulmate.

The Titan eased into a gallop, heading toward the boundary. With the expansion of the land during the transformation from magic, his pack had widened greatly. Previously he had been able to run the boundary in one morning... now he could not run it all in one day. Still, luckily he was only about one hour run from the boundary where she called from. He let his muscles stretch out into long strides, his limbs pounding the earth with all of his weight. He did not want to act foolishly in front of her though, and so before breaking through the tree line, he stopped himself, his pace slowing to a walk. Aindreas took a deep breathe before making his presence known, and then pushed his snout through the branches, his white pelt shining in stark contrast to the deep evergreen.

Seeing her again was just like the first time - his lids widened and his mouth went dry, his tongue a wooden immovable structure in his maw. She was beautiful and perfect, and she illuminated his world. She radiated in front of him, the air around her a shimmering glamour. Aindreas' maw nearly hung openly foolishly but he tightened his jaw and refused to give in to the fear, the thrill inside of him. Instead, he strode comfortably up to Mai and smiled at her gently, despite his tensed muscles, the stiff arch of his plume over his back. But when his tongue loosened, soft vocals released his deep baritone. "I was hoping I would see you again, Mai. What brings you to my humble abode."
