Seeds announced for Draws for 2018 Davis Cup and Fed Cup by BNP Paribas
The ITF has announced the seeds for the Draws for the 2018 Davis Cup and Fed Cup by BNP Paribas, which will be held alongside each other for the first time at the BNP Paribas offices in London on Wednesday 20 September at 15:00 local time (14:00 GMT). The Draws will be streamed live on www.daviscup.com and www.facebook.com/DavisCupTennis
Wednesday’s draw ceremony will include the draws for the 2018 Davis Cup World Group, and Fed Cup World Group and World Group II. The draws for Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Zone Groups I and II, Americas Zone Groups I and II, and Europe/Africa Zone Group I will also take place.
The draw for 2018 Europe/Africa Zone Group II will be held following the Davis Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group I play-off tie on 20-22 October.
Davis Cup World Group
According to the Davis Cup Regulations, the two finalist nations are seeded No. 1 and No. 2 in the World Group for the following year, and will be drawn in opposite halves. Seeds 3-8 are in accordance with the latest ITF Davis Cup Nations Ranking of 18 September. The two finalist nations will both be guaranteed choice of ground.

5. Switzerland
6. Australia
7. Serbia
8. Italy
The seeded nations will be drawn against the remaining World Group nations: Canada, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Spain and USA. Replies:
