The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

At least within the caves it was cooler. Arturio could only imagine how darker colored wolves were faring if he felt the heat, light as he was. The male paused, a small trickle of water down the wall catching his attention. The white wolf stuck his tounge t9 the cave wall. It was a small reprieve that stopped trickling seconds later. He frowned slightly. "This weather will be the death of people if it doesn't let up..." voicing his thoughts aloud. In that same moment, his ears flicked to the sound of another nearby.

The drought and the heat were definitely affecting everyone. Arturio offered a smile to the red male. His emerald gaze showed sympathy, for he felt the weather too. "Trying to. I feel like a good rain would really do the trick," he said. As much as he had an inkling for what some of Glorall's wolves were like, it still did not change his own mentality. Always honest, kind whenever possible. No one was giving him a reason to be otherwise, and certainly not Meteor Rain.

And like the stranger, his size played to his advantage, making most social interactions a non-issue for him. Arturio certainly wasn't all gentle giant, but was inclined to give others the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes he wondered if that would get him into trouble. It hadn't so far, so his mannerisms were not likely to change.
