The female wasn’t sure if she was intruding on the other being’s private time, but he seemed friendly enough. And he didn’t seem to mind her intruding once they began talking. As Adara introduced herself to the male, she admired how handsome he was. The male’s darker pelt contrasted her light one as they spoke. He was one of the first vargs that she had encountered after everything in the forest had changed, including herself. She may not have believed others accounts about the magic returning if she had not experienced it for herself. But there was no way to deny it after the physical change she had gone through. When the male asked her about her eyes, she was surprised by the question, but not offended. She often forgot about what her appearance looked like to others, and the change had left no changes that she could see, not unless she looked at her reflection, so she wasn’t used to it.
She paused before she answered him, realizing that she didn’t know what he did or didn’t know. Did everyone else know about Tempests, Rainbows, and Vampires? Or did only her and her family know about it since they had been told during their transformation? How else would another know though, unless another magical being had shared their story with the other wolves. She figured eventually word would spread and everyone would know, but was it too soon for Harlow to know? She knew very little of him, didn’t know if he had family or friends here who may have told him of the magic. And if he was new then he might not even know about how the lands had physically changed. In the end, Adara gave a vague answer about her eyes, gauging his response to see if he knew what she was. But he seemed more confused by her answer, and she could only assume that he did not know about Tempests, the other beings, she could not say. For now anyways.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring up something unpleasant for you. I've just never seen anything quite like them before... and I am a curious wolf. If it bothers you, I will refrain from asking anymore about them." The male gave her a brief smirk and wag of his tail as he spoke. Adara had not taken the question as offensive; she would have been curious as well if she had encountered one like her without having experienced it herself. She gave him a warm smile as she wagged her plume, letting him know that she had no desire for him to go away and that she was not offended. ”No, don’t worry. It doesn’t bother me to talk about, but thank you. It’s just that you are one of the first wolves I’ve been around since the change besides my family, and they went through the same change I did.” She paused for a moment, realizing that she would need to explain more for him to understand what it was that she was talking about. ”Do you know about the magic that came back to the lands recently?” She cocked her head to the side, not wanting to tell him a story he already heard if he did know, but not wanting to leave him in the dark if he didn’t know. Her bright blue orbs continued to meet his gaze, hoping that he wouldn’t think she was crazy if he didn’t know about magic. She wouldn’t blame him though, if someone had told her before that magic was real and she was a Tempest she would have laughed at them. But now…there was no denying that it was fact.
