Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

This terrifying new world seemed just a little less terrifying with someone somewhat familiar there with her. Though the fear was unlikely to entirely subside so soon, Fairuz did feel safer with this wolf. The stranger - barely an acquaintance to her - had protected the princesses as well as herself when they fled the nursery and had contributed to the success of their escape. That made him a friend right? As long as he wasn't really one of the corrupt in disguise that is - but it had been Zawyne and Losa to lead the pups away to freedom, and the actions of the battle-scarred male had so far only been to support the decisions made by the royal sisters. To the young and frightened Rainbow who had experienced nothing beyond the scope of her family and social gatherings within the kingdom, his presence was a welcome one.

As the cream colored brute watched her, the opal pup returned his gaze with a wide-eyed stare of her own. They say that the eyes are windows to the soul and Fairuz was no exception - the vivid turquoise shade of her own as bright and clear as the waters of the Carribbean, so full of youthful innocence and spirit, yet in this moment so terribly unsure of everything that was happening. Her ears raise slightly from their frightened position atop her delicate crown when the male speaks in reply to her questions. Her ears flatten again and she peers with subdued curiosity at the darkened world around them. "It - it looks nothing like our home... or at least what used to be our home." Sadness tinged Fairuz's words and she fought back the beginning of a soft whimper, reminded suddenly of the gravity of what had happened.

"I wish it were day---" The young female added wistfully after just a moment of silence, in an attempt to steer the subject back to the present, but something had caught the male's attention and he tensed before springing abruptly to the side. Terror flashes through the rainbow-flecked pup and makes a small sound of surprise, leaping back a step of her own. At first she had thought he had meant to leave her, but seeing the blood and replaying the scene in her mind's eye, she realized that protected her, again. The new tension slowly eased back out of her and she lets out a sighing breath of her own, peering cautiously into the nearby grasses. So preoccupied with her own vigilant watch, she did not notice how he continued to watch for danger until he spoke again, pulling her attention back up to him.

If there had been any lingering doubts about her safety around him previously, seeing him now still on the lookout was an immense burden removed from her own delicate shoulders. And to hear him speak of food and plans, she knew that she was in good paws - but what were their plans? The male continued with an introduction of himself - Ignis, Captain of the Guard. Fairuz's turquoise orbs widen in the dim light, the discovery of his title suddenly surpassing every other important matter for a moment. "Of the Guard?" A light and airy smile of wonder and delight passed across her lips and her voice held a deeper reverence. "But that means you were in the Palace!" She speaks in a slightly hushed tone, but the excitement of who he was clear in her voice. She remembers her manners though and with a slightly huffed breath of awe, politely replied. "I'm known as Fairuz, Sir Ignis."

That explained so much of the male's constant vigilance and his attentiveness to her and the other rainbows, especially the princesses. Fairuz fell into a thought-filled silence, teetering between the more carefree and the serious thoughts, but ultimately sobering more towards their situation at hand. "The others are somewhere in this land too. The Princesses too. They should have a plan." The statement was said with a gentle, but firm conviction; the sisters had led the escape so surely they'd have a plan of action now. "I think we need to find them." Turquoise eyes shift from Ignis to a more southerly direction, the pup finding herself staring as she spoke of the others and the princesses... it was as if some deeply rooted instinct or intuition was drawing her focus there, somewhere on the distant horizon.
