Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

Alonzo lowered his head to stare openly, looking not down his muzzle but straight on. He sidestepped a few paces until his right rump bumped the tree, only his shoulders and front legs showing from his poor cover. Though he was usually upfront and open, he could feel the hidden tension bleeding into the air.

A deep rumble from the middle of his chest resonated through his very being, paws straining and claws diving into the dead foliage. It wasn’t a growl, nor was it supposed to be threatening, it was merely a noise to show he saw her, acknowledging her presence and letting her know he wasn’t approaching her specificity. Ducking his head a bit lower and turning his muzzle to the side was his show that no, he wasn’t trying to be threatening or possessive. A light huff brushed some of the squirrels fur from his nose.

Lightly, he dropped the squirrel at his paws and fluffed his chest a bit, again eyeing the other- now identified as female, by the looks of her fur- before starting as she dropped whatever was in her maw. Her posture went from relaxed to excited and Alonzo couldn’t help but curl his body around the tree to peak as he moved out of sight. Something- most likely what she had in her maw- had rolled back towards his tree, shinning and smooth.

Cautiously stepping forward, shoulders high and hackles somewhat raised, he lightly touched the shinning.. acorn, yes, acorn- and glanced up with confused and curious eyes, tongue pushing at the showing teeth again. Somewhat guilty, he flicked his ears towards where she had disappeared to, realizing she was talking to another, hearing her exclaim excitedly about the acorns. Sucking his tongue back in his maw properly and lightly swaying his weight side to side, he snuffled at the acorn before jerking his head up, rolling the acorn far enough towards the trees she had disappeared to before sidestepping, walking at an angle towards his kill.

OOC: Sorry! I hadn’t checked back here like I should have, it’s been a busy week. I’ll try to keep up as much as I can!
