Been a while since we've done one of these.
Here's how this works. You sign up for random meets by replying to this post. Please include in your post:
- The number of threads you are signing up for.
- The characters (in order of preference) you are signing up with.
- Any other relevant preferences, e.g. you prefer 1:1 threads over multi-threads or would like a speed thread over a normal one.
Your thread/character sign up does not have to marry up. For example, if Person A signs up thus...
Threads: 3
Characters: Jimmy, Cate
^ Person A would get 3 threads, in which Jimmy would likely have 2 and Cate would have 1.
Person B could sign up thus...
Threads: 1
Characters: Myles, Polly, Joe
^ Person B is only looking for one thread, but doesn't mind which character it's with. In this case, Person B would be given 1 thread and either a randomised character or the character which best matches up with another character would be chosen (e.g., if we think Polly would work well in a thread with Cate).
On Sunday 3rd November, characters will be paired up and given a prompt or scenario. We will aim to pair characters which we think will be interesting together or who haven't already threaded together. You then post together in your new thread! There is no obligation to complete the threads, but you will be able to claim +1 point for every 100 words you have written in the thread as a small incentive.
Pairings will be done on Sunday 3rd, so to make sure you don't miss out, sign up by the end of the day on Saturday 2nd November under this thread. Replies:
