The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Had she said too much? Perhaps, too chatty? The young miss had no concerns of this at first, but the longer that she stand before the visiting femme, the more her worries began to fester. Nike, even in her short time in Blossom, had yet to hear any negative reports on Dierne Hrof… They seemed to keep themselves on the low, always staying to their personal affairs. Which is probably why the thought of the kingdom intrigued her so, and why the ink stained wolfess was consumed with disappointment at Mai’s next words. "I don’t really know the land right now, but there are changes from what others say."

Nike wanted to believe her; that the femme in front of her hadn’t a clue about her new pack’s modifications. She was a recent recruit, so it made sense. Right? Regardless, Nike didn’t allow the internal let-down to leak upon her features. Instead, her facials remained relaxed, obsidian kissers now curving into a soft and welcoming smile as Mai’s lyrics continued. She spoke of the landscape’s changes, terrain outside of any pack’s territory, and oddly enough, she also mentioned that she felt the presence of something because of these changes. This peaked Nike’s curiosity, her shadowed cranium tilting to the side in the slightest as she observed the other lifting her paws from the earth, as if motioning to where she felt the revealed sensation. Mai allowed a light smile to reach her maw, but seemed to quickly dismiss it directly after, and Nike wondered internally what had caused the she-wolf such sudden and momentary joy.

At last, Mai’s ghostly gaze is back on Nike, and emerald jewels look back to the vixen. Was there anything else that Nike wanted to know, concerning the lands outside of the packs? The brindled guest went on to say that she’d passed through a handful on her journey to Crith, and that they were certainly different than what she usually encounters. After these words, Mai’s plume begins to sway in the slightest, a smile caressing her kissers, and Nike immediately responds with the same, her own ivory banner swaying as her own soft vocals finally erupt. Different?” She asks softly, emerald spheres slightly widening. The young lass had yet to venture away from the borders of Crith, away from… safety. But the information that Mai provided her with encouraged her to explore these changes for herself. Nike places herself carefully onto her snow-kissed haunches, green gaze settling on her guest. “No, I don’t believe that I have any specific questions for you . . . besides asking, in what way are these lands different?” Her crown tilts to the side in raw interest, her voice now quiet and hushed with her next phrase. “If you don’t mind my asking, of course..” The delicate femme was desperate to soak up any information that she could, longing to know more about this strange occurrence. And besides that, a part of her willed her to keep the conversation going. Mai was one of the first souls that Nike had met outside of Nimueh and her packmates. If it wasn’t for the concealed worry that Mai would use Nike’s own words against her, or that Nimueh would be furious at the young teen for sharing her knowledge about Crith, Nike perhaps could even find herself being comfortable in her presence.
