As the new King approached, Adonai's interest was piqued-- he did not seem so surprised to see a member of Glorall on his doorstep. She rose to her feet as he spoke, confirming that he wanted no ill will between the plains and the shores. Ah, so already a step above Aster. The girl could already tell that this male was not as impetuous as his predecessors. She dipped her head as he came closer, introducing himself and asking for her name as well. He seemed to take to his role quite well, approaching her with assured confidence. Comfortable, perhaps, as a king. "I am glad to see the opinion of Asteraia's former rulers have not tainted your opinion of my home." She offered the words with a polite smile, her voice thick with a Latin accent. She did not speak very often in the common tongue.
Beyond casual observations, Adonai had made no blatant move in sizing him up. He had already offered something of merit, his name-- and their conversation was far from over. "My name is Adonai. It is good to meet you, Sir Arturio." She said, offering nothing but reserved politeness from behind her icy gaze. The girl had always been able to wear many masks, and today she supposed it was fair to present herself as some sort of unobtrusively courteous diplomat. Her youth, too, might work in her favor. Information, in these days, could be worth more than blood.
"Today, I am not here to seek an alliance, but I appreciate your confirmation of goodwill between our packs. My grandfather, Eden, is curious as to how Asteraia will fare under your reign." She said, making her intentions quite clear-- she was here only to see what he was like, though her unobtrusive posture and innocent questioning was more curiosity than anything that might be construed as a bit more subversive. It wasn't as if she was incapable of underhandedness, but today it was simply intrigue that drove her to speak to Arturio directly. It was interesting, was it not? He had a history of sorts with Glorall, someone within the seaside pack that he sought, someone that her grandfather sought as well. Adonai was not blind to these things.
Then, she let her head rest at a tilt. "You are no stranger to Glorall, though, are you? It is only now I can put a face and a name to the scent... our lovely lady Nari's shadow, hm?" There was a playful glint in her eyes, and today she would use her age to her advantage-- a young girl simply inquiring about a potential Queen, a dream for most of her age. For who wouldn't want to be pampered as royalty? Or, so she might lead him to think. "Will you invite her here, Sir Arturio?" She let a bit of excitement creep into her voice. Adonai knew little of her father's relationships, but taking a strong member from Glorall would surely be of concern to her grandfather.
