The words Evren pieces together don't fit the puzzle of their circumstance. Indira knows there is no truth in them. They're only patches meant to mend her upset feelings, but the concern is enough to bring Indira some additional comfort. Their parents are gone, and they're not coming back, but the end of one era ushers in a new. Some events needed to unfold to build the promising future laid out before them. Without all of their choices, the good and the bad, they wouldn't be standing here now, two fearsome sisters and this newborn colt, the promise of the Desert.

Indira returns Evren's embrace, and with one last stray sniffle, she takes a step back. She cranes her neck around to meet her son's concerned snout, both thanking and reassuring him in one motion. Indira was raped, but she also coupled with a stallion by choice. Indira knew as soon as she saw the roaning on her son's dark coat, that Tarek's father is not the one who raped her. Indira doesn't know his name but he was her rock in troubled times. He stood up for her, when no one else would. She knows he was good. He had strong convictions, and a lot of heart. Though fates would not have them remain together as lovers, Indira has no regrets.

Turning back to her sister, she says, "I'm glad to have you back Evren." The smile that follows is sincere. Her eyes shine with love. She knew she missed her sister but she didn't realize how much until she found her again. Never again will Indira let her little sister go. Whatever they go to find adventure, they'll go together. Indira laughs, "And you made it out with both ears in tact!" She jokes, remembering her own asymmetrical reflection.
