Re(1): fellowship at royal london bartshealth.

What a shame your question has attracted two largely irrelevant responses.

As someone who has worked in the unit, would say Fellowship definitely worth considering- paediatric ophth fellowship is 6 months RLH and 6 months GOSH. Have never worked at GOSH so can't comment about it. At RLH, you get good ROP experience (will get treatments) and obviously Rb as well; there are good paediatric ophthalmology clinics and complex inpatients with interesting diagnoses to manage. There is an adult strab/neuro-ophth clinic too, a paeds list and opportunity to attend adult strab theatres.

The paeds fellow does join the second on call, and as RLH is a trauma centre, it's a good chance to get experience of repairing ocular trauma and keeping general skills up.

The paediatric team are very supportive and the orthoptic team are excellent.

But don't take my word for it- speak to the current Paeds Fellow and see what their feedback is. I suspect they will be very positive about their experience.
