The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Dandelion was fully enjoying the sounds of the echoes. She tilted her head slightly when the sounds coming back where another's voice intermixed with her echo. Someone else was out playing in the Grotto. The golden blonde girl almost squealed with glee at the prospect of making a new friend. A wide grin spread across her maw as she followed the weaves and turns, following the sound of the echo to the source while still enjoying the sound reverberations her own voice created.

Her ears were pressed forward with extreme interest, though it was getting darker and darker, that did not stay her movement. While she might have been used to hard surfaces in the mountains, out there she could see them. Rounding another corner, she collided with Triton. His ompf was echoed by her own "Ooofff," as Dandelion was knocked to the ground by the impact of the larger boy. Well, larger than her at least. She shook her head and was quickly back to her feet. She barely made out his shape in the darkness, but his tail hitting the cave wall gave him away.

Dandy eased forward, sticking her nose right into the fur of his chest, paying no heed to his personal space. "Of course I was the one barking, who else would it have been, silly," the girl said with a giggle before dancing a couple steps backwards. "We should probably go back where it's lighter, a bit more fun when you can see," the yearling went on as she turned around and moving back the direction she had come where she knew there was light seeping through.

"Well are you coming or what?" she called out over her shoulder with a laugh, "You'll get lost down here if you don't!" It was no threat, just a playful thought to get him moving. It did not even occur to her that she had failed to introduce herself, not that it really mattered right now.
