Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

He was restless with all the amped up tension growing in Moladian. It was like a bomb getting ready to exploe and he was sure Tuari could feel it in the twitching of his muscles or the way he would flinch when she moved in her sleep. He hadn't hunted in a while and it was telling on him. He was starting to fall apart a little. He needed to get back in the game soon and find another killer to rid from this earth. It seemed like they were only growing by the dozen in Moladian lately and it was getting to him. He could almost feel the evil oozing out of the free lands and he could smell the ruin starting in Iromar. He'd heard the rumors of the alpha there and his pack and Dexter didn't like it at all. He also wasn't sure he agreed with opening their borders to the refugees who needed to get away. He knew Pine was once an ally of Taviora but that didn't mean all the wolves in Iromar under her rule were peaceful wolves either. He didn't like it one bit.

He was sure that had something to do with why Tuari chose to lead him away from the pack lands today and out into the free lands. Maybe she was trying to relieve his tension with some private time away from home or maybe she just needed a breather herself. Either way, he was thankful for the company as they moved further from the comforting forests of Taviora. She looked so graceful and confident even out here and he couldn't stop admiring her. She held her head like a queen and his tail wagged behind him in approval, his eyes lit up in appreciation. He laughed as she nipped and nudged at him to get him further away from the pack lands, shaking his head with a snort. "Okay, okay, I'm going, I'm going, woman. Chill your wits." His eyes sparkled with adoration though even as the words fell from his lips. He couldn't get enough of her and he wondered if he ever would.

He slowed down to let her take the lead as she started sniffing around, picking up random trails. She looked like a wolf on a mission but he didn't know if they were hunting today or what. He was open for anything as long as he was with her. His eyes hazed over with love for a minute as he watched her wander around sniffing everything but finally he couldn't help himself. Narrowing his eyes slyly, he lowered himself and crouched, his butt wiggling before he launched himself at her with no warning.
