Topic: Hydrogeology: the underground foundations to ecosystems
Hydrogeology- that black science or black art that deals with the distribution and movement
of groundwater in the soil and rocks of the Earth’s crust.
Commencing in the stratosphere, this presentation will initially focus on the examination of the geology and hydrogeology
of the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Watershed.
More site specific, exploration of key hydrogeologic principles and concepts will be applied to the western aspect
of the Minesing Wetlands where the groundwater conditions predominate through fen wetland habit
with reference to the Hine’s Emerald Dragonfly.
