The training system has tipped too far in favour of the CCT trainee. They are treated like pampered pets with endless study leave, rest days, flexible training catered for, research sessions, hardly any on call, hardly seeing any patients in clinic and wanting to discuss every single one, sitting with them in theatre, and then complaining they are stressed if they have to cover a single casualty session alone..it is absolutely bananas, then they disappear to Australia with the CCT to work privately.
