Training

The problem with the training system is it has been taken over by medical educationalists obsessed by measuring how people learn in detail. They are desperate to learn how one learns and thinks it is a useful use of time spending hours associating GMC outcomes to each learning outcome. It is frankly ridiculous.
Most doctors are essentially pragmatists and learn by doing. It is the doing that should count not the endless reflection...
Further it is not in the interests of patients to have doctors who have not had very much experience but have reflected excessively to satisfy the GMC.
