Ophiuchus was thoroughly enchanted by the angel. Or at least her angelic voice, not that she wasn't pretty. His ears laid back when he realized his approach had been what stopped her song. But he could see her music in the air! The speckled boy would swear it! It was the result of his combination, having found a few poppy flowers and combined with mushrooms, which were his favorite. He didn't like the somewhat numbing effect the poppy had, but the combination was still euphoric once he got past the beginning interaction.
He didn't care for where she came from. It didn't matter where she called home with a voice like that. Even when she spoke, it was musical. Ophi's ears perked back up once he realized she was actually talking to him. His tail waved slightly. The boy tilted his head thoughtfully at her correction. A lark... Ah, that was one of the singing birds in the forest. Those sounded pretty too, but it did not compare. That was her word for herself though. Maybe he could convince her otherwise? Yes, that was it. "Larks have pretty voices... But yours is so much prettier," he said.
Ok, so maybe he might be bad at convincing people of things. Rurik was the better talker and more philosophical among his cousins. Even his sister, Skyrippa was highly intelligent. Maybe it was in his being fretted over he didn't get the same opportunity to grow in his first year. He was definitely a little bit awkward at socializing with those that weren't family. But then his newfound angel had shifted gears. His name? Oh! She was asking for his name. His tail waved. Maybe he could convince her to keep talking? "Um... Ophiuchus... But everyone just calls me Ophi..." he answers somewhat sheepishly, "What's yours? Voice like that, you gotta have just as pretty of a name..."
And then the smell? "Different herbs and stuff... Kinda like a healer, but not really," Ophi answered with a slight shrug. He really didn't have all the answers for that. Most of the stuff he found he remembered by sight rather than the names of the plants like his cousin might or even his uncle Nord, or any other with more plant intelligence than him for that matter.
