Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.
FINAL LEADERSHIP VOTE - closes march 5th

Hi everyone, it's finally time to decide who the next leader(s) will be. Here's how this will work: Everyone who has put themselves forward for a leadership position will be listed here. Everyone else should reply to this post with a YAY or NAY vote for that character. (Abstaining will count as a 'nay'.) A 50% majority is not needed for a character to be elected, just the highest number of votes. In the case where there is only one candidate per position (as there is now), that candidate needs only one vote to be elected. However, they may not vote for themselves. Neither may trinkets or children vote (though companions can). If the candidate gets no votes, they will not be elected, and the position of Boss will default to the individual that has been in the Lagoon the longest (which will be determined by whomever has the oldest post on the board). Due to there only being one candidate on this occasion, I won't get into the process for tiebreaks - you can find more info on those on the Rules page. Also, just a reminder that the result of this vote lasts until the next election (in 4 months' time), or until a mutiny/early vote is triggered.

THIS VOTE CLOSES IN 5 DAYS - MARCH 5th. Please reply before then! I will close the vote early if everyone replies in good time.
