I always made my morning rounds. I kept myself in great shape, but I am a naturally light built female. I work to stay fit and that is because of my dedication every day. Thus, I find it rather...frustrating that one of my sons took on a trait of laziness. The world does not wait. I understand that pups requires more sleep and rest to grow...but he was nothing like his siblings. Ashur was always out and about with me. Vayrus was an active boy as well.

Sans though? I don’t know how to handle Sans. All he wants to do is sleep and lay around, and his...pudginess was showing the results of that. I found it increasingly irritating as he gets older. He doesn’t even show interest in learning to hunt properly so he can feed himself. I will not always be around. I have brought up what happened to my mother before...but I never went into great depth. Perhaps today will have to go a bit different.

As I come to where he is at the den after my daily workout, he gives me those puppy dog eyes. He is begging for the regurgitated food again. I stop as I come upon him, with my strong scarred face looking down upon him firmly. I do not give in to his begging. I stand still and strong, knowing what he wants...but he is not getting it. I take a deep breath and breathe out.

”No, Sans. You have to hunt for yourself,” I say sternly. ”I can help, but you have to do most of the work,” I say with my blue eyes narrowing as I look down upon him, my face dead serious no matter what look he tries to play on me. If there is anything about me, is that I am not so easily swayed by the cuteness he may have. Sure, he is cute. He is my son and but a pup. A pup that needs to hunt for himself.

”One day, Sans, I won’t be here to feed you. Your father won’t be here to feed you. You siblings may not be around to help you. You have to learn to survive on your own,” I say firmly, however lowering my head slightly and putting my ears back just a bit. ”It is for your own good,” I say with a slight tilt of my brindled head, the scars on my naturally feminine face apparent. My look was perhaps a bit kinder in this moment...as a slight means of encouraging him.
