Here you can post questions, comments or concerns for the Global Mods. This is where you need to post to officially put yourself on away. If you are going to be away from the site or unable to post regularly for an extended period of time, you may go on away for up to one month, during which your characters will be protected from things like battles, raids and escapes. After this you and your characters will be considered inactive, and you will need to rejoin should you return.

For the sake of clarity, please clearly state 'away' or 'semi-away' in the subject line of your post, and make a new post stating 'back' on your return. While you are away you cannot post in-character, and any in-character posts will be classed as you returning and your characters will no longer be protected from that point.

You may also let us know here that you are 'semi-away', meaning posts from you will be slow, but all normal rules still apply to you.

If you wish to quit the game, please leave us a message here to let us know, though be aware that any characters without lineage (i.e. those who were not born or bred in-game) will be deleted from the Members page. All other characters will be listed as inactive unless you request for them to be deleted.

1) Events - I'm up for doing events like we have before, and more regularly if people participate in them. In the past there hasn't always been much response when the events were posted, but maybe a small reward for participating might encourage people like you said.

2) Like Shiva said it would be nice for players to earn the odd perk through something other than the posting contest, although I struggle to see how we could do this with the governments personally. If only prizes were for taking over an island this excludes characters who aren't dictators, but prizes for everyone in charge also means doing nothing to earn it. I prefer the idea of a small benefit to joining in the events over governments.

3) I think that a site history for TLI would be somewhat generic, since the stories and plots that have taken place are all to do with individual characters, but we could mention Cimarron sinking like Shiva said and give a brief description if people would be interested.

4) I agree with Shiva in that I think the appeal of the islands (and TLI in general) is that players have a lot of freedom in describing them. I don't think it would be appropriate to rename the islands and territories since they have been part of TLI's history and are landmarks for all the characters on the site, but we could come up with more descriptive names like they used to be, if people are interested. As for the map, as Shiva said, it does limit creative freedom more, but we're not opposed to the idea if people would prefer to have a little more structure in the layout at least.

5) I wouldn't be against upping the limit slightly to 5 days or so, at least that would encompass the average working week for people who can't get on TLI as often. I don't think longer is really necessary, since extensions can be granted and otherwise 1 RP battle might end up taking the whole season before a result is given.

Shiva and I have also had a little discussion about these and we're going to hold a vote soon about some of these ideas and see how many people are in favour of them and get some more feedback. Thank you for the suggestions. ^^
